Disney's Camp Rock Explodes on The Small Screen

"Camp Rock", the new Jonas Brother's film released by Disney, aired on Friday night to an impressive amount of viewers. The film averaged 8.9 million viewers during the 8-10 p.m. time slot.  It was Disney's number two most-watched movie ever, with High School Musical 2 taking the lead.  The film made the Disney Channel television's most watched channel during the time slot as well.  

"Camp Rock" was also aired on Saturday, during ABC's "Wonderful World of Disney".  It had an average of 3.6 million viewers and tied with CBS for first in the 18-49 age category, but also came in second for overall viewers that night. 

The film will be aired on Disney.com on today, June 23d, 2008.
