LG To End High Deinfintion DVD Format War
LG has announced in a press release that they will be introducing a new product at next week's annual convention CES convention. This new product will be a breakthrough in the world of Blu-Ray technology.

This new dual-format player is capable of playing both HD DVD and Blu-Ray titles. Although LG did not give too many details on the technology, or how much it will cost, the unit is expected to be available in  the U.S. in early 2007.  If affordable enough, this product is expected to be one of the best selling pieces of electronic equipment this year.

In it's release, the company made known their high expectations for the product, saying that "LG expects this technological breakthrough to end the confusion and inconvenience of competing high-definition disc formats for both content producers and consumers."
