"Iron Man 2" dominated at the box office this weekend, according to BoxOfficeMojo.com. Not surprisingly, the film grossed an estimated $133.6 million for its opening weekend. The original "Iron Man" grossed $98.6 million on the same weekend back in 2008.
"Iron Man 2" already ranked in the top 5 highest-grossing opening weekends of all time. It was shown on approximately 10,000 screens and at a record 4,380 theatres.
According to Boxofficemojo.com, 60 percent of Iron Man 2's audience was male and 60 percent was over 25 years old. There were more female viewers this time around and the general age of viewers was older than the first Iron Man's opening.
