Roland Emmerich To Remake Fantasic Voyage Film

The 1966 sci-fi film classic, Fantastic Voyage, will be coming back to the big screen. The remake will be directed by Roland Emmerich for 20th Century Fox (Director of Independence Day). The movie will be written by Marianne and Cormac Wibberley and produced by Michael Wimer.

The film is about a scientist who has a blood clot that is threatening his life. He is depending on 5 scientists in a ship being miniaturized and injected into his bloodstream.

Emmerich has also recently completed the movie, "10,000 B.C." , which is set to be released on March 7, 2008.
