Jerry O' Flaherty, a veteran video game art director, will be working on the Thundercats film. He is best known for his work on Gears of War,Unreal Tournament 3, and Command and Conquer. The CG project is based on the popular 1980's cartoon of the same name.
Paul Sopocy will be writing the script which follows humanoid cats that are forced to flee their home planet of Thundera, which winds up being destroyed.
The film will put its focus on the main character, Lion-O, and portray his coming of age as the leader of his group.
Thundercats travel from their plant to the planet of Third Earth, where they are at constant war with the evil sorcerer, Mumm-Ra.
