Fathom Events Brings The Horror Classic, Halloween, Back Into Theaters for One Night
On October 25th, 1978 John Carpenter's Halloween premiered in Kansas, City Missouri and took the country by storm. The film then continued to have multiple sequels as well as a reboot. Now, in 2015, Fathom Events, along with SpectiCast, brought it back to the silver screen for one night only, October 29th, 2015, for fans around the United States.

In case you are unfamiliar with the property Halloween, it follows the story of six-year-old Michael Myers, who is committed for life to an mental institution after killing his sister with a butcher knife. Fast forward 15 years later - Michael has escaped from the hospital and is on his way back to Haddonfield, Illinois to begin a new murderous rampage…on Halloween night.

In addition to seeing the classic Halloween on the big screen, the film-goers were treated with trivia about the original film, as well as an exclusive introduction by John Carpenter, providing insights on "Halloween" and how it has forever changed the horror genre in Hollywood. Carpenter discussed such topics from why and how he made the film, to the fact that he had no clue it was a hit until the "studio executives" came to see him and congratulate him, and how he also likes to work "outside" the studio system.

In a world of such low-budget horror films, as Unfriended and The Gallows it is a nice treat to see the original Halloween on the big screen. After 37 years, it still holds it's own against today's horror films, and looked better than ever on the big screen.
