Originals' Joseph Morgan Cast in Gone Baby Gone Series

Joseph Morgan, who stars in the CW series The Originals, has been cast as the male lead in the upcoming series based off of the novel Gone Baby Gone.

The series isn't yet titled but it will follow the story of detectives Patrick Kenzie (Joseph Morgan) and Angela Gennaro who try to solve crimes that are beyond the reach of the law. The 2007 film based on the novel starred Casey Affleck as Kenzie.

Morgan currently plays Klaus Mikaelson on The Originals but also played the character on The Vampire Diaries. The Originals will premier its fifth and final season on April 20.
