The series ran from 2004-2007 on UPN and then the CW. In 2014, a film was released by Warner Bros. after a successful Kickstarter campaign raised the money needed for the project. In addition to the new season, Hulu will also be streaming the previous seasons and film in 2019.
The original series's creator, Rob Thomas, will be writing the first episode. The season will follow the story of Veronica being hired by parents of a murdered spring breaker after a series of homicides in the seaside town of Neptune.
Kristen Bell will also continue to star in NBC's The Good Place.
