Popular Game Franchise to Become Amazon Prime Series

"God of War", the popular PlayStation video game, will be getting a series adaptation. Amazon's Prime Video is said to be in talks to be the home of the new show.

Sony's "God of War" debuted in 2005 and is comprised of seven games and is based on ancient mythology. It features ex-Spartan warrior Kratos who, in the game, is looking to seek revenge on Ares (Greek God of War), for killing his loved ones. He eventually finds himself taking up the helm of God of War himself.

Series based on video games at Amazon aren't a new thing, and there are quite a few new ones in the works such as Killer Films' upcoming TV series "Fallout", "Mass Effect", and a to be announced gaming IP series.
