Dan Stevens to Receive CinemaCon Award of Excellence in Acting

Dan Stevens is set to receive the prestigious CinemaCon® Award of Excellence in Acting this year, as announced by Mitch Neuhauser, the Managing Director of CinemaCon. The official convention of NATO, CinemaCon, is scheduled to take place from April 8-11, 2024, at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. Stevens will be honored during the Big Screen Achievement Awards ceremony on the evening of Thursday, April 11, at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace. The event will be hosted by the official presenting sponsor, The Coca-Cola Company.

Neuhauser expressed admiration for Stevens' upcoming projects, highlighting his versatility and talent. With three diverse films slated for release in the coming weeks- "Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire," "Abigail," and "Cuckoo"-Stevens is poised to captivate audiences with his performances. Neuhauser commended Stevens' dedication to his craft and his ability to breathe life into complex characters, cementing his status as one of today's most gifted actors.

Stevens' next appearance will be in NEON's "Cuckoo," hitting theaters nationwide on August 9, 2024. Directed by Tilman Singer, the film follows the story of Gretchen (played by Hunter Schafer), who unravels a disturbing secret while staying with her father in the German Alps. Stevens portrays Mr. König, adding depth to the suspenseful narrative shot on 35mm film.

Additionally, Stevens stars in "Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire," alongside Rebecca Hall and Brian Tyree Henry, set for nationwide release on March 29, 2024. Following this, audiences can catch him in Universal Pictures' "Abigail," hitting theaters on April 19, 2024, directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett.

Stevens' extensive body of work includes lending his voice to the English dub of Hayao Miyazaki's animated film "The Boy and the Heron," as well as roles in various acclaimed productions such as "Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga," "The Rental," "The Call of the Wild," and "Beauty and the Beast."

The actor first gained international recognition for his role in the ITV series "Downton Abbey" and has since appeared in notable projects like the Marvel series "Legion" and HBO's "High Maintenance." His stage credits include performances in Shakespeare's "As You Like It" and Tom Stoppard's "Arcadia," among others. Stevens made his Broadway debut in 2012 in "The Heiress" opposite Jessica Chastain and David Strathairn.
