Disney Channel Announces Fall Season Lineup

The Disney Channel announced this week some of its shows that will be returning for the next season. Wizards of Waverly Place, Phinneas and Ferb will be returning for their second seasons, and Hannah Montana will also be returning for their third season. Disney also announced that they will be releasing a new original film called "Camp Rock" later on this month. 
Other Disney Channel films set to be released are "Dadnapped", starring Emily Osment, Jason Earles, and Moises Arias of Hannah Montana fame and David Henrie, of Wizards of Waverly Place, and Phill Lewis, of The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, will also be in the film.  The movie is about a girl named Melissa who becomes frustrated with her father, who spends all his time writing his novels.  Melissa feels that her dad is more interested in his character, Tripp Zone, than he is with her.  Her dad winds up going missing and Melissa must figure out a way to find and save him. The movie is directed by Paul Hoen, who is also behind the upcoming Disney Channel Original Movie, The Cheetah Girls: One World. 
Another film the Disney Channel will be releasing is "Princess Protection Place", which will star Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez. The movie follows a teenage princess who must leave her country and be placed into a top secret protection program. Disney also announced Hatching Pete, starring Jason Dolley, of Corey In The House, and Hannah Montana's Mitchel Musso. The movie is about a shy teenage boy, who longs to be noticed, especially by the girl he has a crush on. 
The Disney Channel Original Movies are set to air in the 2008-2009 season.
