Brad Pitt Officially Joins The Cast of Quentin Tarantino's Bastards

Variety has reported that Brad Pitt has officially joined the cast of the Quentin Tarantino WWII drama, "Inglorious Bastards". Pitt will play the part of Aldo Raine, a Tennessee hillbilly who assembles a team of eight Jewish-American soldiers to take on the Nazis.

Much of the film's dialogue will be in German and French, but Pitt will be speaking English in his role.  Subtitles will be used for the non-English speaking parts.

Other actors who are in talks to join the cast are Simon Pegg, David Krumholtz and B.J. Novak. Pegg would play a British lieutenant, while Krumholtz and Novak would play Pitt's underlings.

Production will begin in Germany on October 13. Tarantino hopes to have the film done to premier it at next year's Cannes Film Festival.
