Alex Proyas To Direct Unpleasant Profession of Jonathan Hoag

According to "The Hollywood Reporter", a film based on the Robert Heinlein's novella, "The Unpleasant Profession of Jonathan Hoag", is being developed by Phoenix Pictures.  The film will be written and directed by Alex Proyas of I,Robot, Crow, and Dark City fame.

The book, published in 1942, focuses on a man who realizes that he can not remember what he has done during his days, or even what he does for a living.  He seeks help from a husband and wife detective team, who help unravel this man's mysterious life.

The film's budget is said to be in the $40-$50 million range.
