Vacation Sequel In The Works

According to The Hollywood Reporter, there will be an upcoming sequel to the classic comedy film, "National Lampoon's Vacation".  The original film, released in 1983, starred Chevy Chase and Beverly D'Angelo, along with Anthony Michael Hall and Dana Barron. 

The film focused on the Griswold family, who are taking a trip to the infamous "Wally World". They experience many misadventures along the way, and when they finally reach there vacation destination, they find out that it is closed.

New Line Cinema will be releasing the new film that would feature a grown up Rusty Griswold, who decides that he is now going to be the one to take his family on a vacation. It is rumored that theere would be room in the script ot have Chevy Chase and Beverly D'Angelo on as grandparents to add to the continuity of the "sequel", but there is no official word on them returning as of yet.
