NBC has plans to release a modern-day Frankenstein drama, according to Variety.

The TV show script has been written by Russel Friend and Garrett Lerner, the executive producers of "House".  

The topic of "Frankenstein" is even more popular lately with many projects in the works such as Guillermo del Toro's unique adaptation, Lakeshore's I, Frankenstein, Wake the Dead (based on the Steve Niles graphic novel), This Dark Endeavor and The Casebook of Dr. Frankenstein.
