Paramount Plus has announced that they will be adapting some films into TV series for their streamer, including "The Italian Job", "Love Story," "Fatal Attraction," "Parallax View," and "Flashdance".
"The Italian Job" was originally released in 1969 and starred Michael Caine, Noël Coward, Benny Hill, Raf Vallone, Tony Beckley, Rossano Brazzi, and Maggie Blye. In 2003, a remake was made starring Mark Wahlberg, Charlize Theron, and Edward Norton.
Matt Wheeler will write and executive produce the series with Donald De Line and Paramount Television Studios producing.
"Lose Story" will be based on the 1970 film starring Ali MacGraw and Ryan O'Neal and will be produced by CBS Studios and Paramount Television Studios; "Fatal Attraction" will be based on the 1987 film starring Michael Douglas and Glenn Close and will be written by Alexandra Cunningham and Kevin Hynes, who will also both executive produce the project.
"Parallax View" will be based on the 1970 novel and 1974 film and will be executive produced by Paula Wagner.
"Flashdance" will be based on the 1983 film with Tracy McMillan writing the script and Angela Robinson executive producing and directing the pilot. Lynda Obst will also executive produce.
