The 100 to End After Its Upcoming Seventh Season

The CW has announced that they will end their drama The 100 after its upcoming seventh season. The seventh season will consist of 16 episodes, bringing the episode total for the series to 100.

Mark Pedowitz, President, The CW made the announcement at the TCA summer press tour. He said that the plan always was to end after seven seasons.  "We've been very good at listening to our showrunner creators about the right time to end our series," he said.

The series stars Eliza Taylor, Thomas McDonell, Bob Morley, Marie Avgeropoulos, Devon Bostick, Christopher Larkin, Lindsey Morgan, Richard Harmon, Eli Goree, Paige Turco, and Tasya Teles.

Season seven of The 100 will air next year.
