1. Personal Information We Collect

This policy covers FlickDirect websites, mobile apps, and FlickDirect Connect. The information processed depends on the service and features you use. Among FlickDirect’s mobile apps, Movies Now is the app that collects user-provided personal information; the other FlickDirect apps do not collect that user-provided information.

FlickDirect uses information to operate its services, respond to requests, maintain security, and understand usage. Third-party services used for features such as analytics, advertising, embedded video, and app-store billing may receive or process information when you use those features. For example, the website uses Google Analytics and Google advertising services, and embedded YouTube content is subject to Google’s policies. These services may process technical identifiers, device information, usage activity, or transaction information, depending on the feature. Their handling of information is also governed by their own privacy policies.

• User Data – Name, email, contact details, and preferences.
• Technical Data – IP address, browser type, and device type.
• Transactional Data – Purchases and subscriptions.
• Usage Data – Pages visited, content interactions, and engagement metrics.
• Movies Now App Data – Personal information users submit through Movies Now’s features. Other FlickDirect mobile apps do not collect this user-provided information. App stores and services opened through app links may process information separately under their own policies.

FlickDirect Connect and AI Connections

FlickDirect Connect lets compatible AI apps send movie search terms, collection requests such as podcasts or today's release anniversaries, and selected FlickDirect title or video URLs to our public, read-only service. We return published movie information and source links to the requesting app. Access is free for everyone, with no FlickDirect sign-in or license key required. Your AI provider controls its own handling of conversations, connection permissions, and account information under its policies.

For private operational reporting, Connect keeps daily request totals and up to 200 recent records of selected public movie URLs and titles, collection labels, reported app categories, tool outcomes, response durations, cache outcomes, result counts, matching cues, up to three returned coverage links per response, and request times. Search text is not retained. Connector-owned request-derived analytics and operational records are limited to seven days, with early expiration and cleanup every 30 seconds while Connect runs. The private review summary follows the same limit. Returned links do not measure clicks, citations or reads. Requests do not identify unique people or conversations, and Connect does not track user-level search-to-detail sequences. These reports do not record IP addresses, account IDs, or full conversations. Hosting access/security logs, external backups and administrator-downloaded copies require separate retention controls and are not governed by connector cleanup.

Search terms may contain personal information if you include it. Avoid submitting private information in movie queries. A requesting app can opt out of Connect usage reporting with the X-Connect-Usage: off, DNT: 1, or Sec-GPC: 1 request header. Questions about Connect can be sent to connect@flickdirect.com.

2. Mobile App Subscriptions & Cancellation

FlickDirect does not manage billing, subscriptions, or refunds for the mobile app. If you have an active subscription, you must cancel it directly through the platform where you purchased it:

• Apple App Store: Apple's subscription settings
• Google Play Store: Google Play's subscription settings

Note: Deleting the app does not automatically cancel subscriptions. Refund requests must be handled directly through Apple or Google, subject to their policies.

3. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

This Privacy Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any legal disputes or claims shall be exclusively resolved in Palm Beach County, Florida. Users agree that any claims arising out of or related to this Privacy Policy or the use of FlickDirect's services shall be filed only in state or federal courts within Palm Beach County, Florida.

4. Binding Arbitration & Mediation Agreement

Any disputes or claims arising from this Privacy Policy, the use of FlickDirect's website, or its mobile app must be resolved through binding arbitration in Palm Beach County, Florida, rather than court litigation, except that claims may be brought in small claims court if they qualify.

Arbitration Rules:

• Arbitration will be conducted by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its rules.
• Both parties must first attempt mediation before proceeding with arbitration.
• Each party is responsible for its own legal fees, except where prohibited by law.

No Class Action Lawsuits:

Users waive the right to participate in class-action lawsuits. All claims must be filed individually and cannot be combined with others.

5. Google & YouTube API Services

FlickDirect integrates Google services, including YouTube API Services, to embed YouTube videos, display related video information, show current channel/video statistics, and link users back to YouTube.

By using pages or app features that include YouTube functionality, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. YouTube and Google may collect information under the Google Privacy Policy.

FlickDirect does not request access to your YouTube account, does not collect or store YouTube user credentials, and does not sell, rent, or share YouTube user data. We do not use YouTube API data to create creator profiling tools, channel-inspired content generators, or cross-platform derived analytics products.

Where FlickDirect displays YouTube API data such as video titles, thumbnails, playlist items, subscriber counts, or view counts, that data is used only to present or link to the related YouTube content and is refreshed or removed in accordance with YouTube API Services requirements. Embedded YouTube players and links remain subject to YouTube's controls and policies.

6. Cookies, Analytics & Similar Technologies

FlickDirect may use cookies, pixels, local storage, server logs, analytics tools, advertising measurement tools, affiliate tracking links, and similar technologies to operate the website, remember preferences, understand traffic, measure performance, prevent abuse, and support editorial and business operations.

Browser or device settings may allow you to block, delete, or limit cookies and similar technologies. Some site features may not function properly if those technologies are disabled.

7. Data Security, Retention & Deletion

FlickDirect uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information under our control. No website, app, network, database, or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including operating services, maintaining records, resolving disputes, enforcing agreements, complying with legal obligations, security monitoring, and backup or archival needs.

Users may request deletion, correction, or access to personal information by contacting privacy@flickdirect.com. We may need to verify the request and may retain limited information where required or permitted by law.

8. Children's Privacy

FlickDirect is intended for a general entertainment audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If a parent or guardian believes a child has provided personal information, they may contact us and we will review and delete the information where appropriate.

9. Privacy Rights & Regional Requests

Depending on where you live, privacy laws may provide rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, objection, or information about how personal information is collected and used. FlickDirect will review verified requests as required by applicable law.

Depending on applicable law and the information processing involved, you may also have rights concerning disclosures for advertising, targeted advertising, or other forms of sharing. Advertising and measurement services may process information under their own policies. Use available privacy settings or contact privacy@flickdirect.com to ask about your rights and available choices.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes are effective when posted unless a later effective date is stated. Continued use of FlickDirect after an update means you acknowledge the revised policy.

Studio, EPK and Getty Images Materials

FlickDirect's mobile apps and linked FlickDirect coverage may include images and materials provided by film studios, television networks, streaming services, distributors, publicists, photographers, Getty Images, wire services, and promotional partners for editorial, review, news, or publicity use. These materials remain the property of their respective copyright holders and are not owned by FlickDirect unless expressly stated.

FlickDirect does not claim ownership of studio-supplied stills, electronic press kit (EPK) images, promotional artwork, posters, key art, trailers, clips, or Getty-distributed publicity assets. Rights remain with the applicable studio, distributor, photographer, agency, or copyright holder. Use is subject to the applicable permission or license, including any platform, territory, duration, and credit requirements. This notice does not grant users reuse or sublicensing rights.
