
The training included local authorities such as the LAPD and LAFD. The Los Angeles Emergency Management Department offers the training free to businesses or organizations looking to train their employees.
"We don't want people to be paranoid … these are interesting times we're living in, but we also don't want them to be completely unprepared (for) the possibility that something like this could happen to them," said LAPD's Kyle Campbell. He spoke to ABC 7, who was there reporting on the training.
Security measures, both seen and unseen, at such events have increased across the board given the number of shootings that have taken place the last few years.
