What do you get when you take an already established franchise, throw in some great new actresses with a cleaver script?  The answer is simple -- Legally Blondes (aka Legally Blonde 3).

When Elle Woods' young, blonde cousins, Annie and Izzy (Milly and Becky Rosso), moved from England to California, they thought their pink clothes, small dogs, and street smarts would allow them to instantly fit in and feel at home.  However, they find they are miles away from the uniform fashions and money-focused power structure of their new prep school.   When the school's reigning forces turn on the girls and try to frame them for a crime, Izzy and Annie must use their cleverness and charm to clear their names and show the school that in the classroom or the courtroom, they should never underestimate the power of blondes!

While not a big fan of the first two Legally Blonde films starring Reese Witherspoon (she is only a producer on this one), I was skeptical about how much I would enjoy the third outing of the series, but much to my surprise, my fears where alleviated.

Milly and Becky Rosso take the "legally blonde" personality and reshape it to their own.  The twins are a treat to see on the screen and definitely seem to have the born talent for acting (they were actually found in the audience of a taping of the Suite Life of Zak and Cody).  The rest of the cast shines through as well including the role of the Woods' nemesis, Tiffany, played by Brittany Curran.

While at times catering to the normal slap-stick humor of a "tween" comedy movie, Legally Blondes shines through with some great heartwarming moments.

Aside from having a great story, 20th Century Fox in association with MGM went all out on the DVD release of Legally Blondes -- including some great behind the scenes footage of the making of the film, its cast, and how Legally Blondes came to be.

The picture itself is flawless and audio is presented in a crisp Dolby Digital 5.1 soundtrack.  The only room for improvement that could be done to this release is if it was released on Blu-ray.  Hopefully if sales are decent enough MGM will consider doing this.

If you are looking for a great family night at home, then definitely look no further.  Legally Blondes three is a film that the entire family can enjoy, and I dare say I am looking forward to Legally Blondes 4.
