300 Battles It's Way to #1 Selling High Definition DVD of All Time
It was announced today by Warner Home Video that, 300, the epic movie about the battle of Thermopylae, is the highest selling high definition title in the market. It has sold over 250,000 copies as of July 31, 2007.

This amount breaks the previous record of 100,000 copies, held by The Departed. Warner Home Video is the owner of 6 of the top 10 selling high definition movies. That list includes, Superman Returns, The Departed, Batman Begins, Happy Feet, and Planet Earth – The Complete Collection.

"'300' is an amazing film, and the high definition sales we are seeing underscores the positive business benefits of supporting both HD DVD and Blu-ray," said Ron Sanders, President of Warner Home Video. "This phenomenal response to '300' is the latest proof that our approach makes the most sense in today's market and has enabled Warner Home Video to continue to lead the market in high definition sales."

300 on High Definition DVD also has many interactive features on the HD disc. If you are connected to the internet, you can use the web enabled features, such as rating scenes, sending favorite scenes to friends, and purchasing ring tones and wallpapers.
