"Salt" the 2010 spy movie starring Angelina Jolie, which has had a sequel in the works for a while now, is moving forward by hiring writer Becky Johnston.
The film featured Jolie as a Russian sleeper cell agent with a mission to assassinate the U.S. president. The film was a success, grossing $293 million worldwide.
Originally, Kurt Wimmer was hired to write the script, but it is rumored that Jolie was thrilled with it, and didn't commit to the project.
Johnston has worked on films such as "The Prince of Tides" and "Seven Years in Tibet", which starred Jolie's fiance Brad Pitt.
