ABC's new president, Channing Dungey, wasted no time in cleaning up the network's schedule, and in fact, was a day ahead of schedule this year in announcing what shows will make it back next year, and which ones won't.
The ax was brought down on quite a few shows, leaving many surprised. Among the victims are The Muppets, Castle, Nashville and Marvel's Agent Carter, along with Galavant and The Family.
What did make it? Well, network favorite, Shonda Rhimes' series, The Catch, John Ridley's American Crime, and comedies Dr. Ken and The Real O'Neals.
Also, Dungey will be adding Downward Dog to the lineup, which will feature a talking dog, and a yet untitled Sarah Dunn comedy (previously titled The Second Fattest Housewife in Westport).
Looks like the new boss is really starting fresh and cutting off any dead weight. Only time will tell how this winds up playing out.
