It is said that Pattinson is in the lead with as the choice for the role, which Reeves was looking to fill with a man in his early thirties. While Pattinson has certainly come a long way from his Twilight days, one wonders if he really has what it takes to fill theses awfully big shoes.
Nicholas Hoult currently stars as the titular role in "Tolkien" and Pattinson will be starring in Robert Eggers' "The Lighthouse".
