Aladdin scribe John August has signed on to write "Toto", a Warner Animation Group animated musical based on the Michael Morpurgo book "Toto: The Dog-Gone Amazing Story of the Wizard of Oz".
The film tells the story of the Wizard of Oz from Toto's point of view.
Aside from "Aladdin", August has worked on other whimsical films like "Big Fish" and "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory".
