Josh Peck has signed on to star in the upcoming Disney+ series Turner & Hooch, as U.S. Marshal Scott Turner. The series is an adaptation of the 1989 film starring Tom Hanks.
The plot will follow the same line as the film, with Turner inheriting a new partner, a large dog, who initially seems like a bad idea but turns out to be just what he needs.
The series has been greenlit for 12 episodes and hails from Burn Notice creator Matt Nix and 20th Century Fox TV. Nix will serve as the writer and executive producer. Josh Levy (Bones) will also serve as an executive producer.
Peck was famously known for Drake and Josh, as well as the Fox series Grandfathered, starring alongside John Stamos.
