HBO Developing Film Based on GameStop Scandal

HBO/WarnerMedia is currently developing a film based on the recent GameStop scandal. They will work alongside Jason Blum, Andrew Ross Sorkin, and Len Amato.

The film plot will be: How a populist uprising of social media day traders beat Wall Street at their own game turning the stock market upside down and shaking the financial world to its core.

This film will be the next in line to deal with this topic after a documentary was announced, as well as a feature film from writer Mark Boal ("The Hurt Locker," "Zero Dark Thirty"), and another film that will be based on Ben Mezrich's book proposal, "The Antisocial Network."
