Jeopardy! Announces Two New Hosts

Today, it was announced that the new season of "Jeopardy!", which debuts September 13, will be hosted by Mike Richards. It was also announced that Mayim Bialik will also occasionally host the show. In a statement from Sony Pictures Television, it was said that Bialik will lead "primetime and spinoff series, including the upcoming all-new Jeopardy! National College Championship set to air on ABC next year, as the studio looks to extend the Jeopardy! franchise to new platforms". Richards will also continue to be the executive producer of the show.

Longtime host Alex Trebeck died in November 2020 at the age of 80.

"Alex believed the game itself and the contestants are the most important aspects of the show. I was fortunate to witness his professionalism, intensity, and kindness up close and that will serve as the ultimate blueprint as we continue to produce the show we love," said Richards.

Bialik also commented on the news, saying, "I'm so grateful and excited to continue to work with Mike Richards, and I'm just over the moon to join forces with him and Sony." She added that the show is "one of the most exciting and surreal opportunities of my life."
