Christopher Nolan's Oppenheimer Film to be Released by Universal

Christopher Nolan's next film, based on scientist J. Robert Oppenheimer, has landed at Universal Pictures. The film tells the story of Oppenheimer's leading role in the development of the atom bomb.

Oppenheimer was a theoretical physicist who headed the covert project called the Manhattan Project, the bomb that ultimately ended World War II.

Christopher Nolan has had a longstanding relationship with Warner Bros. until now, with films such as The Dark Knight trilogy, Inception, Dunkirk, and Tenet. However, it was said that Warner Bros. was not part of the group of studios that the project was being shopped to.

Nolan will produce the film alongside his wife Emma Thomas for their Syncopy Inc. production company.
