Disney's High School Musical Star, Ashley Tisdale, To Star in Teen Witch

"Teen Witch", the 1989 film that starred Robyn Lively, will be remade by United Artists and will star Ashley Tisdale, of High School Musical fame.

The film follows the life of a young girl by the name of Louise who is unpopular in her high school. She comes to find out that she is a descendant from the witches of Salem, and therefore has inherited magical powers. She uses her new found power to make her popular.

The search still continues for a writer to update the script.

On a side note, Ashley Tisdale is also busy negotiating a reality show deal with the producers of "American Idol", as well as executive producing a show for the Disney Channel based on her life.
