Mission Impossible 4 Is A Go
With "Knight & Day" earning less than money than what was expected, Tom Cruise's popularity and box office draw seems to be in question. However, Paramount is still making a fourth installment to the Mission:Impossible franchise. Paramount vice chairman Rob Moore said on Tuesday, "We absolutely are excited about having Tom Cruise star in this movie."

Because Paramount is monitoring the performance of "Knight and Day", there are rumors that if the earning overseas are less than $200 million, there could be a possibility of the studio recasting the role of Ethan Hunt. A studio executive not associated with the project said that "It all depends on whether Tom Cruise brings in foreign bucks."

"Knight and Day" is a victim of delayed openings in some markets, due to the World Cup. This weekend, the film will be opening in key markets, including Australia, Brazil and Spain. It has already grossed $4.8 million in China.
