Chris Weitz to Possibly Rewrite Cinderella Project

Walt Disney Pictures is looking to put out a live action Cinderella film, and they want Chris Weitz to pen it.
The film was originally pitched by Aline Brosh Mckenna ("The Devil Wears Prada") back in 2010. It will follow a "prince set for a politically arranged marriage, until the evil plan is threatened when the prince meets Cinderella."
Directing the film will be Mark Romanek and Simon Kinberg will produce.
