Jason Momoa Joins Guardians of the Galaxy Cast
Jason Momoa is set to play Drax The Destroyer in Marvel's forthcoming movie, "Guardians
of the Galaxy", according to Latino Review. In fact, they are saying that Momoa impressed
director James Gunn at a recent screen test so much that the director offered the "Bullet to the Head"
star the role immediately after the screen test finished.

In Marvel universe mythology, Drax was formerly Arthur Douglas; he was killed by the Avatar
of Death himself - Thanos. After death, Douglas' spirit is placed into a new, more powerful,
body by the entity Kronos, so transforming him into Drax.

If confirmed, he will be joining Chris Pratt who has already been named as Peter Quill aka
Star-Lord in the movie that will be in cinemas August 2014.
