New Potter Play to be Titled Harry Potter and the Cursed Child

New Potter Play to be Titled Harry Potter and the Cursed Child
J.K. Rowling has announced that she will be opening her Harry Potter play in London's West End next year.  The play will be titled Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. Rowling made the announcement on the 18th anniversary of when Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone was debuted.

Even though she isn't discussing the plot as of yet, Rowling said that it will explain the death of Harry's parents as well as other parts of Harry's untold story. She said she didn't "want to say too much more, because I don't want to spoil what I know will be a real treat for fans". She went on to say, "To answer one inevitable (and reasonable!) question - why isn't Cursed Child a new novel? I am confident that when audiences see the play they will agree that it was the only proper medium for the story."

The play was first announced back in December of 2013.  It will run at the Palace Theatre in the summer of 2016.
