No negotiations have been officially discussed yet, and it is said that the producers are keeping their options open. The role was originally played by Angelina Jolie, which could be a tough act to follow.
The reboot has been in development for a few years, and may follow the storyline of Croft in her younger years as an archeology student.
In the meantime, Ridley is certainly keeping busy. She is currently filming Star Wars: Episode VIII.
