Disney's biggest fan event returns to Anaheim with exclusive showcases, celebrity appearances, anniversary celebrations, and first looks at the future of Disney entertainment.
Disney has revealed the programming lineup for D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event presented by Visa, which returns to Anaheim, California, from August 14–16, 2026. The three-day convention will feature exclusive presentations, live performances, celebrity appearances, anniversary celebrations, and previews of upcoming projects from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Lucasfilm, ESPN, National Geographic, Disney Experiences, and more.
D23 returns this August with one of its biggest lineups yet, celebrating Disney's past while offering fans an early look at what's next across the company's entertainment empire.
Fans attending this year's event can expect major presentations at Honda Center each evening, along with dozens of panels, concerts, screenings, and interactive experiences throughout the Anaheim Convention Center. Full-day Sunday Fan Passes and Afternoon-Only Fan Passes for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday remain available.
According to Disney, this year's convention will celebrate the company's storytelling legacy through behind-the-scenes presentations, immersive fan experiences, and appearances from Disney Legends, filmmakers, performers, Imagineers, artists, and creators. Upcoming films, Disney+ series, attractions, games, and live entertainment will all be represented during the three-day event.
D23 head Michael Vargo said fans can expect programming throughout the Anaheim Convention Center in addition to the nightly Honda Center presentations, with entertainment designed to celebrate Disney's history while previewing the future.
Honda Center Showcases
Each evening, Disney will headline Honda Center with presentations featuring exclusive announcements, celebrity appearances, performances, and first looks at upcoming projects.
Friday, August 14 – Disney Entertainment Showcase
The Walt Disney Company's storytellers will take the stage for the Disney Entertainment Showcase, featuring surprise celebrity appearances, exclusive footage, musical performances, and announcements spanning theatrical films, Disney+, television, games, and live entertainment.
Saturday, August 15 – Horizons: Disney Experiences Showcase
Hosted by Neil Patrick Harris, Horizons returns with a look at the future of Disney Experiences around the world. Building on announcements first revealed in 2024, Disney will showcase upcoming attractions, destinations, and innovations while giving fans a behind-the-scenes look at the Imagineers, artists, and storytellers shaping the next generation of Disney parks and experiences.
Sunday, August 16 – Disney Legends Awards Ceremony
Ryan Seacrest will host the Disney Legends Awards Ceremony, honoring the newest class of Disney Legends, including Chris Berman, Jerry Bruckheimer, Susan Egan, Eric Goldberg, Anne Hathaway, Bob Iger, Kim Irvine, Dwayne Johnson, the Jonas Brothers, Lin-Manuel Miranda, and Alan Tudyk.
Concerts and Live Entertainment
Music once again plays a major role in this year's D23 schedule. Disney Legend and eight-time Academy Award winner Alan Menken will headline a rare one-man concert celebrating the songs and stories behind many of Disney's most beloved films and Broadway productions.
The Disney Rewind Concert will revisit favorite songs from Disney's animated classics of the 1980s and 1990s, featuring performances from Disney Legends Bill Farmer and Jodi Benson, incoming Disney Legend Susan Egan, and Broadway performers.
Fans can also attend The Muppets Musical History with Seth MacFarlane, where the Grammy-nominated vocalist and Emmy Award winner will celebrate the timeless music of The Muppets while discussing his upcoming orchestral album inspired by the franchise.
Major Anniversary Celebrations
D23 2026 will commemorate several milestone anniversaries across Disney's history, including the 75th anniversary of Alice in Wonderland, the 35th anniversary of Beauty and the Beast, the 25th anniversary of KINGDOM HEARTS, the 65th anniversary of Marvel's Spider-Man, and Walt Disney's 125th birthday.
Panels Spotlight Disney's Biggest Franchises
Beyond the Honda Center showcases, D23 attendees will find programming across five stages inside the Anaheim Convention Center, with presentations covering Disney's biggest franchises, upcoming releases, animation, television, publishing, games, and Disney Parks.
Lucasfilm will host a special LEGO Star Wars Screening Event, offering fans an advance look at an all-new animated LEGO Star Wars adventure featuring familiar characters, action, and comedy.
Marvel fans can celebrate 65 years of Spider-Man during Celebrate 65 Years of Marvel's Spider-Man!, featuring behind-the-scenes stories, sneak peeks, and discussions spanning comics, animation, toys, and the character's recent return to theaters in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Marvel Comics will also host Marvel Fanfare, while Disney | Marvel: A Legacy of Stories explores decades of storytelling across comics and Disney history.
Disney Television will preview several upcoming projects, including Percy Jackson and the Olympians: Season 3, where cast and producers will discuss bringing The Titan's Curse to Disney+ later this year.
Fans of music and nostalgia can attend Camp Rock 3: The Next Generation, featuring members of the cast reflecting on the newest chapter of Disney's popular musical franchise following the film's world premiere.
Animation remains a major focus throughout the weekend. The Simpsons: Stories from Springfield brings together cast members and producers to discuss how television's longest-running scripted comedy continues finding fresh stories after more than three decades.
Disney Animation will celebrate a decade of Zootopia during Zootopia: Ten Years in the Mammal Metropolis, featuring filmmakers Jared Bush and Byron Howard alongside composer Michael Giacchino.
One of Disney's newest global success stories also takes center stage with Bluey: From the Backyard to the Big Screen, where creators will discuss the evolution of the beloved Australian series ahead of 2027's The Bluey Movie.
Television fans can revisit Sacred Heart Hospital during Scrubs: Scrubbing Back In, where cast members and executive producers will discuss the highly anticipated revival and share behind-the-scenes stories from both the original series and its return.
Comedy fans can also attend Lettuce Show You How We Make Bob's Burgers!, featuring the Emmy-winning creative team demonstrating the animation process from script through final production with live artwork and voice performances.
Disney Fans Can Celebrate Music, Animation, and Creativity
Several presentations focus on the artists responsible for Disney's enduring legacy. Legendary filmmaker Ron Clements discusses his new book during Making Disney Magic with Ron Clements, while Disney Legend Joe Rohde shares stories from his memoir during Floating Mountains: A Conversation with Joe Rohde.
Animation enthusiasts can also attend HUZ: Drawn to Life, showcasing Disney animator Ron Husband's career through a new Disney+ documentary, while Ink & Paint at Disney Animation offers a live demonstration of the classic animation process from sketch to painted animation cel.
Music fans have several additional opportunities throughout the weekend, including Disney Music Presents: The Art of the Score, where Academy Award-winning composer Michael Giacchino discusses his work across Pixar, Marvel, and Lucasfilm. Disney and The Grammys: A Musical Legacy brings together award-winning musicians to discuss Disney songs that shaped their careers.
Collectors will find several unique experiences as well. Disney will debut the Disney Experiences Auction, featuring verified artifacts from Disney Parks and Resorts available through live and online bidding, while longtime collectors can attend sessions devoted to Disney pin trading, Disney Lorcana, Disney style, Disney home design, and the history of Disney toys.
Celebrating Disney History
Alongside previews of future projects, D23 2026 will devote significant attention to Disney's history through presentations celebrating classic films, animation, Imagineering, publishing, and Walt Disney himself.
Fans can commemorate milestone anniversaries for Alice in Wonderland, Beauty and the Beast, One Hundred and One Dalmatians, Enchanted, and KINGDOM HEARTS, while special presentations will examine Walt Disney's legacy, Disney restoration efforts, the Sherman Brothers' music, and the history behind attractions including Walt's Carolwood Barn and the Swiss Family Robinson Tree House.
Disney historians, archivists, filmmakers, and Imagineers will also present sessions exploring Disney comics, Disney Archives, National Geographic storytelling, ESPN's animated sports broadcasts, Disney Dreamlight Valley, WEBTOON collaborations, Disney fashion, and home design inspired by Disney films and parks.
Returning fan favorites include D23 Mousequerade: The Ultimate Disney Costume Contest, hosted by Nina West, while the Spotlight Stage presented by Fandango will once again feature celebrity interviews, musical performances, trivia competitions, artist demonstrations, sing-alongs, and interactive fan experiences throughout the convention.
