American Gods Premiering April 30 on Starz
American Gods, the Starz series that was adapted from the Neil Gaiman fantasy novel, is set to premier on Sunday, April 30 at 9pm. The season will consist of 8 episodes.

Those attending SXSW, however, can get a look at the show at the screening, which will be followed by a Q&A with the showrunners and cast, which will include Bryan Fuller, Michael Green, Ricky Whittle, Ian McShane, Emily Browning, Pablo Schreiber, Crispin Glover, Yetide Badaki, Bruce Langley, Orlando Jones, Jonathan Tucker and Betty Gilpin.

American Gods will follow the story of Shadow Moon, a prisoner who is given and early release after the death of his wife. He encounters a man named Wednesday, who offers him a job as what seems to be a bodyguard/collaborator in Wednesday's schemes. We come to find out that Wednesday is, in fact, the Norse god Odin, who is traveling across America, collecting the old gods who are living as ordinary people.

Showrunners/writers for the show are Bryan Fuller and Michael Green, with David Slade directing the pilot and some additional episodes. Executive producing the series is Craig Cegielski and Stefanie Berk as well as Fuller, Green, Slade, Adam Kane and Neil Gaiman.
