Ted Sarandos, Netflix's Chief Content Officer, said that they will begin production next year on the eight-episode sixth and final season.
Sarandos also said that the season will "bring closure of the show for fans", provide work to the nearly 2,000 who depend on the show for work, and will have Robin Wright in the lead role.
Kevin Spacey was fired after sexual harassment allegations came to light in October.
