Get Ready For Ready Player One with The Oasis Experience

Ready Player One, the upcoming film from  Steven Spielberg, will be released in theaters on March 29. And in anticipation of the premiere, a special event was held this past weekend in Miami called Ready Player One x Hot Topic Present: The Oasis Experience.

The traveling Oasis Experience's next stop is Atlanta Georgia, and then will be traveling around the country throughout the month of March.  This retail experience will also be featured in 6 other key cities before the release of the film. 

Included in the event was Welcome to 2045, which features exclusive fashion collaborations with Hot Topic, Funko Pop Collectibles, and Warner Bros. Consumer Products. 

There was also an exclusive first look at the film as well as a museum of holographic artifacts from 2045. 

The film takes in 2045 ( if you hadn't already guessed) where the world is on the brink of collapse. People are finding refuge, however, in OASIS, an expansive virtual reality universe created by James Halliday. After Halliday's death, the world finds out that he has left his tremendous fortune to the person who can find the Easter Egg that is hidden somewhere in OASIS. This is where we meet the young hero named Wade Watts who finds himself on a surreal journey through this virtual universe. 

"Ready Player One" stars Tye Sheridan ("X-Men: Apocalypse," "Mud"), Olivia Cooke ("Me and Earl and the Dying Girl," "Bates Motel"), Ben Mendelsohn ("Rogue One - A Star Wars Story," "Bloodline"), Lena Waithe ("Master of None"), T.J. Miller ("Deadpool"), Philip Zhao, Win Morisaki, Hannah John-Kamen ("Star Wars: The Force Awakens"), with Simon Pegg (the "Star Trek" movies, the "Mission: Impossible" movies) and Oscar winner Mark Rylance ("Bridge of Spies," "Dunkirk").
