Legacies Premiers on the CW
Legacies, the latest spinoff of The Vampire Diaries franchise, premiered last night giving fans of The Vampire Diaries universe (comprised of The Vampire Diaries, The Originals and now Legacies) even more to sink their teeth into.
The series follows the story of Hope Mikaelson, the 17-year-old daughter of Klaus Mikaelson and Hayley Marshall. Her supernature bloodline consists of vampire, werewolf, and witch. Hope goes to the Salvatore School, which is run by Alaric Saltzman (Matthew Davis). It also features a character named Landon (Aria Shahghasemi), who may not be what he seems, twins Lizzie (Jenny Boyd) and Josie Saltzman (Kaylee Bryant); a vampire, MG (Quincy Fouse), and a werewolf, Rafael Waithe (Peyton Alex Smith). The series kicks off with a twist involving Landon and will be sure to hook any fans of the Vampire Diaries fandom.
Julie Plec, the creator of the series, recently spoke to Deadline about Landon's character, saying, "It's difficult to say anything without giving anything away because the entire next episode is built around Hope having decided that Landon is this demonic evil that must be destroyed and wiped from the face of the Earth. We're still, as the audience saying, "He seems nice!" And that question will carry her through the episode because she's gonna hunt him down and when she finds him she's going to decide whether he is still a cute moppet head, blue-eyed boy or is he the evil that she decided he is? We'll have to wait and see!
Catch Legacies on the CW at 9 pm on Wednesdays.
