Rachel Weisz is said to be in early talks to join the cast of Marvel's "Black Widow", the standalone film starring Scarlett Johansson.

There's no word on what character Weisz would be playing or what the plotline of the film will be. 

Also in talks to star in the film is "Stranger Things" star David Harbour. Cate Shortland will be directing, Kevin Feige producing, and Jac Schaeffer writing the film. 

Weisz recently starred in "The Favourite", which earned her an Oscar nomination.
