Nikita Pearl Waligwa, who starred in Disney's biographical drama "Queen of Katwe," has died. She was 15 years old.
in 2016, the actress was diagnosed with a brain tumor. She did recover; however, another tumor was found in 2019.
In "Queen of Katwe" she played Gloria, a chess player taught by close friend Phiona Mutesi, who is a successful chess player in Uganda.
Waligaw was just a senior at her school, Gayaza High School.
