Tiger King Draws Record Breaking Numbers for Netflix

The now infamous Netflix docuseries "Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness", has officially surpassed "Stranger Things" for biggest ratings in the first 10-day period of release. The series has earned 34.3 million unique viewers over "Stranger Things'" 31.2 million. The numbers were still short of "Stranger Things" Season 3, which drew over 36.3 million.

The docuseries follows the story of Joseph Maldonado-Passage, a.k.a. "Joe Exotic", who owned a tiger (and other exotic animals) zoo in Oklahoma. He is currently in prison for hiring someone to kill his rival, Carole Baskin, who owns Big Cat Rescue in Florida.

The number of viewers could very well be more than they would be normally, given the current status of the pandemic that is going on. More people than ever are sitting at home.
