Imax sales are making a huge comeback. It has earned over $142 million in the last quarter, more than 100% more than last year.
With the release of "Dune", sales broke records for the month of October, and with the slate of new films set to be released, the sky's the limit.
CEO Rich Gelfond said, "The power of the Imax theatrical window for blockbuster films is clear as we continue to draw moviegoers to the theaters, gain market share, and grow our relationships with local exhibitors, studios, and filmmakers."
The company also said that they have reached "a significant turning point in the global box office with pent up consumer demand for The Imax Experience continuing to gain momentum as theaters reopen around the world."
