It has been announced that Max Original's adult-animated series "Harley Quinn" has been greenlit for a fifth season, continuing its legacy as a critically acclaimed and fan-favorite show. The series, known for its biting humor and irreverent take on the DC universe, has been a resounding success, and the latest season promises to deliver more uproarious adventures.

The logline for Season 4 sets the stage for a wild ride, as Harley Quinn, voiced by executive producer Kaley Cuoco, embarks on her journey following a breakup with The Joker (Alan Tudyk). Teaming up with Poison Ivy (Lake Bell) and a diverse crew of DC castoffs, Harley attempts to infiltrate the Legion of Doom. However, an unexpected identity crisis propels her into a larger quest to discover her true place in Gotham City. The season features appearances by DC's most notorious characters and boasts a notable voice cast, including Christopher Meloni, Ron Funches, JB Smoove, Tony Hale, and others.

Season 4 has garnered praise from critics and fans alike. Collider declared it "as irreverent and funny as ever," setting the stage for a potentially explosive Season 5. IGN lauded its "wildly ambitious and audacious" storytelling, accompanied by meticulously detailed animation. AV Club hailed it as "an excellent animated series" and "a delight to watch," commending the consistently impressive voice cast.

Peter Girardi, Executive Vice President of Alternative Programming at Warner Bros. Animation, shared the excitement, saying, "Harley Quinn has raised the comedic crowbar with every new season. We're excited to continue this partnership with Max and take our biggest swing yet for season 5."

Executive Producers Justin Halpern, Patrick Schumacker, and Dean Lorey added a touch of humor, expressing their joy that the news of Harley and Ivy's misadventures is finally public, joking about the numerous NDAs distributed.

Season 5 continues the misadventures of Harley and her crew, with credits based on DC characters. The series is produced by Delicious Non-Sequitur Productions, Lorey Stories, and Yes, Norman Productions in association with Warner Bros. Animation. Developed by Justin Halpern, Patrick Schumacker, and Dean Lorey, Dean Lorey serves as Executive Producer and Showrunner. Executive Producers include Justin Halpern, Patrick Schumacker, Kaley Cuoco, Sam Register, and Katie Rich, with a talented team of Co-Executive Producers, Supervising Producers, and more.

In addition to the Season 5 renewal, Max has unveiled an animated spin-off series titled "Kite Man: Hell Yeah!". Set to debut in 2024, the spin-off explores the relationship between Kite Man and Golden Glider as they open a bar in the shadow of Lex Luthor's Legion of Doom. This promises to be a unique addition to the Harley Quinn universe, offering fans more of the irreverent and distinct humor that has made the series a standout success.
