David Howard Thornton, the actor known for his chilling portrayal of Art the Clown is embarking on a new venture that promises to raise the stakes of horror entertainment. Famous for his role in the "Terrifier" series, the actor will be stepping into the shoes of Steamboat Willie for the upcoming horror comedy film, "Screamboat." This character, an early incarnation of Disney's beloved Mickey Mouse, has now entered the public domain, paving the way for innovative projects like this one.

In "Screamboat," a late-night ferry ride for a group of New Yorkers takes a sinister turn when a malevolent mouse, inspired by Steamboat Willie, unleashes chaos on unsuspecting passengers. As the situation escalates, the eclectic ensemble must unite to confront the murderous creature and prevent their tranquil journey from descending into a nightmare scenario. Joining Thornton in this thrilling cast are seasoned actors such as Allison Pittel, Amy Schumacher, and Jesse Posey, along with horror veterans Jarlath Conroy and Charles Edwin Powell.

Scheduled for a 2025 theatrical release, "Screamboat" is poised to deliver a unique blend of horror and comedy under the direction of filmmaker LaMorte.
