Movie fans are in for a treat next week as Cinema United's non-profit arm, The Cinema Foundation, rolls out its first-ever Sneak Peek Showcase, a nearly 70-minute theatrical event debuting at thousands of movie theatres across North America.
Premiering on Tuesday, April 22, and with an encore on Thursday, April 24, this special evening program offers an exciting look at upcoming releases from Hollywood's top studios. In a unique, curated experience, audiences will get an early look at trailers, exclusive behind-the-scenes footage, and never-before-seen clips from the biggest titles arriving in summer and fall 2025. All content featured is rated PG, PG-13, or R.
Bryan Braunlich, Executive Director of The Cinema Foundation, said, "Sneak Peek Showcase helps bring a little taste of the famed industry-insider event CinemaCon to movie lovers with a fun look at the upcoming theatrical slate. For the first time, cinemagoers will get a glimpse of the most anticipated movies coming soon to their neighborhood theatres all in one program. We are proud to have proceeds benefit industry charitable organizations, and we are grateful for the support of our sponsors, Fandango and The Coca-Cola Company."
The event is a public-facing extension of CinemaCon 2025, which took place earlier this month. It will begin at 6 p.m. local time in participating theatres across North America. Tickets are just $3 and can be purchased via theatre websites, apps, atthemovies.co, or Fandango.
More than just a movie preview, the Sneak Peek Showcase also serves a charitable mission. Proceeds will support organizations such as Variety-The Children's Charity, Will Rogers Motion Picture Pioneers Foundation, and The Cinema Foundation. In Canada, a portion of ticket sales will go to the Canadian Picture Pioneers, which provides financial aid and educational support to film industry workers in need.
Presented by Fandango and supported by The Coca-Cola Company, the showcase is part of The Cinema Foundation's year-round @The Movies campaign. Audiences will also see the big-screen debut of the Grand Prize-winning film from the 2025 Coca-Cola Refreshing Films program, which highlights fresh talent from partnered film schools.
Established in 2022, The Cinema Foundation was created by Cinema United-formerly the National Association of Theatre Owners-to support and grow the theatrical experience. The Sneak Peek Showcase follows earlier @The Movies events like National Popcorn Day on January 19. More events are on the way, including Date Night @ The Movies on August 15 and Family Day @ The Movies on November 9.
Cinema United, founded in 1948, is the world's largest exhibition trade group, representing over 31,000 movie screens in the U.S. and another 30,000 internationally. Its members range from small-town one-screen venues to major global theatre chains. Learn more at cinemaunited.org.
