Alyn Darnay's peers and producers have consistently recognized his directorial and writing work as some of the "best of the best." Over his distinguished career, he earned thirty-three awards of excellence for his achievements in film. Recently, "Women In Film/Miami" named him their "Director of the Year," and at the 2017 Boston International Film Festival, he received the Best Director Award for his feature film Boyfriend Killer. His work continued to garner acclaim, with Girlfriend Killer and Killer Island both winning awards at film festivals.

Alyn's career spanned decades, directing feature films such as Shadow Fighter with Burt Reynolds, KRISSY BELLE featuring comic actress Carole Wood, and the Holocaust film IMMUNITY, starring Rena Sofer. His suspense feature, Boyfriend Killer, starring Kate Mansi and Patrick Muldoon, aired on Lifetime Television and the Lifetime Movie Network, continuing his longstanding collaboration with actress Barbie Castro.

Alyn was also an accomplished author. His book, The Script…A Breakthrough Guide to Scriptwriting, sold over 16,500 copies and was honored by its inclusion in The Library of France in Paris. Beyond his work in film, he taught at institutions such as the Miami Film School and the Florida Film Institute, where he inspired the next generation of filmmakers.

Alyn's passing has left a profound impact on all who knew him, both at FlickDirect and in the wider film community. His legacy will forever remain a cherished part of our history, and his contributions to film will continue to inspire us.
