how's your Comic Con going you doing good this is amazing what a great year I mean to come with this show which has there's so much love and attention that comes with this show everyone's been saying from the very beginning this was the this was the pilot script to watch to read I should say everyone everyone wanted to get their hands on this script everyone wanted to perform in the pilot as an actor and to be part of it and to then have David Nutter at the helmet Julie play it was just a dream team so so tell us about your role in this show so I play Dr Sabine lers I've nicknamed her the bad news Barbie I'm telling everybody so she's this very high ranking government official so when when when something of this nature occurs and it cannot be handled at the sort of lower civilian levels she's the last sort of the federal level that comes in and has to take over and it's a really controversial decision to create a cord on sanit to cut off a whole part of Atlanta from the rest of the city in order to try and stop the spread of this extremely it's it's deadly in 100% of its victims oh my God so are you going to be ruling Atlanta now the queen of Atlanta um yeah I mean because my character's outside the uh The Cordon she gets to change her outfits occasionally I think some of the poor people inside again have a rough time getting food and clothing and water she'll be sort of maybe sort of washing her hair and I I guess that means it's no no good news for the Real Housewives of Atlanta right right yeah they're they're import depending on where they are I have to look where are they in Buckhead I'll have to have a look at the map we canet make sure that they're in let's do it there you go so so what's going on with your Comic Con are you getting to go out to the floor at anything is there anything out there you want to see we haven't oh gosh we haven't been out on the floor yet May tomorrow morning might be my time to do that um but no complaints I mean it's amazing to be going and and being able to promote something that we're so passionate about and we're such a I mean I I don't know if they've been telling it to everyone but everywhere we go to do our photo shoots and do our interviews they're like oh you guys are the best cast officially all day you guys win when you put us together you just need to put on some music and they'll say okay now move around and we all just start dancing there's an amazing Chemistry Between Us which is painfully ironic considering the circumstances for our characters who are all sort of torn apart believe we were talking yesterday about the fact that you're trying to take over a whole night but now I think you're just going to take over the whole week I think so I mean really who shouldn't have their own network right I well Oprah has one so why not exactly exactly I like the idea so so tell us what you had in mind when what brought this concept to you this concept actually was brought to me by the Geniuses who created it in the first place in Belgium there is a series uh that's called Cordon that is wonderful that I saw and fell in love with I thought it was scary and and thrilling and very very emotional and weirdly deeply romantic in its own way kind of hitting at everything I love to do I love to tell stories about friendship and about loss and about you know the fear of death and about about about love and and you know and grief and all those things so um I get to take all my favorite things and put them into a world with my other favorite thing which is virus movies and books love love love well did the cast cuz this is a whole new cast for the show did did they work out exactly the way you had pictured them in your head they did they did you know it was the strangest thing when you're working off of a format is that you've seen the show you've seen all the actors who play these roles and so the first shift you have to make in your head is to replace them and their faces with the faces of the people that you cast in yours um but I have to say you know working with everybody now making the pilot and spending some time with them I think we did pretty well I'm I'm I'm pretty happy about it well we're really looking forward to seeing this show we really appreciate you coming out and talking to us how's your ComiCon going I I hear you doing impressions now that's yeah you pay me a dollar I give you uh give you Impressions uh no Comic-Con is amazing man this is this is like a dream true van so tell me about this new show we hear you doing first of all we hear you doing double duty here with with with you got Vampire Diaries going on too well that I mean I was on Vampire Diaries this past season so and and we hear there's a nomination there is a nomination yeah by the by the fans getting me up for Teen Choice Award for some reason I have a feeling like there's a lot of teen girls out there right now really jealous that I'm standing here and not them I in fact I'm willing to bet that that they're all like screaming at me right now for like not having you just stare at them and telling you they you love them right I love you guys no but seriously I do love the fans and I mean that kind of nomination is feels almost better than anything else because it's not a certain group of people voting um it's it's done by the body of of of these people of everyone who watches uh saying hey I like that and that just feels good does an act to be a part of something that someone cared about that of course well tell us about your role on this new show uh couldn't be more different than uh KY Parker on The Vampire Diaries this is a uh this is a guy who who is a law enforcement officer who ends up in the wrong place at the wrong time and he gets stuck inside the quarantine when this outbreak happens and uh his first instinct is to defend for himself you need to get out of here you're amazing I just want to say that he's amazing there you go who are you who is oh we just getting everybody now I'm just like they're all photo bombing and everything we got them all going on today I like it yeah it's it's nice to have the Stars passing me by there I have to admit that as you were walking around I kind of caught the dress and I was like all the palm trees remind me of home we actually based out of South Florida oh I did it for you a see that she's dressing up just for us I love palm trees they're gorgeous oh it is so so tell us about this series tell us what you got going on oh my gosh we have a deadly virus that breaks out in Atlanta and they have to set up an urban quarantine Urban quarantine hopefully for 48 hours but as we learn it extends a bit and so we have families friends lovers torn apart uh and those on the inside are trying to figure out how to survive those on the outside are trying to figure out how to to find a a cure for the virus will they will they not are you going to make it out Al alive I hope so you hope so I don't know I really don't know I I think you'll do just fine I'm I'm I'm go with that I'm g go with that so so how's your Comic-Con experience going is this crazy it's crazy and beautiful and passionate and exciting and I love it I absolutely love it this is my second time in Comic Con it's your second time it's my second time um and what I love I mean this time I don't have a lot of time to actually walk around the first time I did and it completely blew my mind because everyone just gets this one time out of the year to do what they absolutely love with no shame no holds bar you just get out there you just dress up with these characters that you love it does get crazy it's nuts but it's amazing do you did you want to dress who would you dress up as if you got to go on the floor dressed up oh khi Mystique but that would be really hot but still you know like physically hot um um uh Catwoman why do I choose all the that are hot I was going to say we got a whole list going in here really many you need to start now I'll be back how are you doing I'm good how are you I know I'm getting all kinds of compliments on it today and I'm like totally thrown I would have wor this TR you want to trade you could wear my onesie I could wear your Batman shirt I can't pull that off there is no way I don't know maybe would bring out your eyes there'd have to be a lot of money involved you just don't want to give up but I'm not wearing the heels I I don't know how you do it any don't even I don't know how I do it you're not thinking about it right now cuz it'll hurt I'm thinking about it always until they go numb until they go numb then you know yeah and you're not thinking about it anymore so tell us about your your role in contain because this is a big show that's going to be coming up by Julie Julie writes some amazing roles Julie's the queen she's amazing so tell us all about your character uh it's K her name is Katie Frank she's an elementary school teacher she has a sixth grade class one of the kids is actually her young son Quenton played by Zachary anger who's such a talented young young chap um and she is basically in the in the hospital with the kids and they're going to sing for patients and it happens that the virus breaks out there so she has to keep the cool with the kids while she's having this conflicted fear inside of her she's also in a custody battle with the father's parents oh my and she's got the Mother-in-law on the phone all day kind of checking in and um and there may have been a very turbulent relationship with the father so you got drama based on drama there's drama drama and then keep the cool but she's a very warm loving character and she could be an unlikely hero and I love that about Julie is she writes good women and it's so refreshing so so you're officially going to be like a real ex-wife Housewife of Atlant oh yes I will be a I will be a yeah legit Katie the ex Atlanta wife mom ATA teacher viral hopefully not sick girl so are are you digging Comic Con are you getting to go around and check it out it's so cool it's my first time I feel so blessed to be here the costumes are crazy the people are so supportive and so loving and it's just the buzz the buzz is running through my veins if if you had a chance to run out there and go go kind of Rogue underneath there what would you dressed up as oh okay well I did see it's a little it's a little racy but uh I saw lelu from The Fifth Element uh now that's an outfit now that is an outfit I don't know if I I don't know if I could pull it off the way some people have but that's one of my favorite sci-fi characters yeah me too yeah well thank you so much for coming out and talking to us thank you so much continued success very good how's your ComiCon going good it's been going great I mean I had a I had time to go walk around and to just to check out the new video games the comics as well as the film and TV stuff so now I'm it's business so I've had the pleasure are you getting any special copies on the I'm trying to sort of say hey by the way I'm on the show I'm sort of whispering it cuz it sounds I'm on the show and maybe you need to drop Julie's name oh okay Julie sorry j Julie I bet knows everybody yeah I'm going to be dropping your name from now I'm just going to say I'm Julie I'm Julie PL and I would like some new games now that would be some heavy duty acting no little bit wi blond I just need to go blonde it might be a little tough to pull off so so tell us about your role in the show well I play Dr Victor k he is stuck within the quarantined area and he's basically the most qualified person within the quarantine area to make a call to investigate the virus to see what it's all about the source of it and ultimately try and find a cure so the weight of the world basically is on his shoulders in there and he's just stressed out but he can't show it and I think I think he becomes I think his bedside manner is affected by that in terms of just that stress and he's there disseminating the information to the outside world including Dr lus who's played by Claudia black so I'm telling and I make that controversial call in the first episode to to enforce a quarantine which Dr llas Who's way up there in the government hierarchy she actions but I have to make that decision and that's a very stressful thing and I I bet I piss off a lot of people sounds sounds like you got a lot of um stress on you there it's just I need video games to calm down so if anyone has the latest preview of any games pass them to me because I'm stressed so so is there any possibility that after you fix this containment problem since you're in Atlanta maybe you could help out walking dead I would love to yeah you could just let me know I can I can find cures for everything but I think the fans of Walking Dead would be annoyed like wait you end the show it' be a really weird crossover but I'm sure you'd be very happy yes i' would be happy to do it just give it a go another stressful virus to contend with yeah okay let's get may as well double it up double nothing well thank you so much for coming out and talking
