This page explains how to request permission to use original FlickDirect® creative works and how to contact us about editorial image usage questions connected to content published on FlickDirect.


Content covered by this policy

This policy applies to original FlickDirect® creative works, including:

  • Original video interviews and feature segments filmed or produced by FlickDirect®.
  • Event and red carpet photography captured by FlickDirect® photographers.
  • In-house creative artwork, thumbnails, graphics, and social key art designed by FlickDirect®.
  • Original written, visual, and multimedia content created by FlickDirect® for editorial publication.

Studio, distributor, Getty, and publicity materials

Certain images and materials appearing on FlickDirect are provided by film studios, television networks, streaming services, distributors, publicists, photographers, Getty Images, wire services, and promotional partners for editorial, review, news, or publicity use. These materials remain the property of their respective copyright holders and are not owned by FlickDirect® unless expressly stated.

FlickDirect does not claim ownership of studio-supplied stills, EPK images, promotional artwork, posters, key art, trailers, clips, or Getty-distributed publicity assets. Rights remain with the applicable studio, distributor, photographer, agency, or copyright holder. Any credit line shown with an image is intended to identify the source or rights holder based on the information available to FlickDirect at the time of publication.

For questions about an image or asset published on FlickDirect, including correction requests, takedown requests, attribution updates, or usage inquiries, please contact licensing@flickdirect.com. If the asset is owned by a third party, FlickDirect may direct the inquiry to the appropriate rights holder or remove/update the material when appropriate.


Editorial use

News and editorial outlets may reference or embed FlickDirect® materials if all conditions are met:

  • Clear, visible credit to FlickDirect® and a link to the source page.
  • No modifications other than standard layout crop, with no filters, added watermarks, or misleading overlays.
  • Use is non-commercial and purely informational or journalistic.
  • The material being used is original FlickDirect® content, not a third-party studio, Getty, wire, or publicity asset.

Commercial licensing

Commercial use of original FlickDirect® content, including advertising, paid placements, packaging, OTT, broadcast, monetized video, or promotional campaigns, requires a written license from FlickDirect®.

What FlickDirect cannot license

FlickDirect cannot grant third-party rights that it does not own. Unless FlickDirect is the creator or rights holder, this policy does not license:

  • Studio-supplied trailers, clips, posters, key art, or EPK stills.
  • Getty Images, wire service, agency, or third-party publicity photography.
  • Images, video, artwork, or branding owned by studios, distributors, networks, streamers, or publicists.
  • Any copyrighted material supplied to FlickDirect strictly for editorial, review, news, or promotional coverage.

Prohibited uses

  • Re-uploading FlickDirect® images or videos to third-party channels or stock libraries.
  • Removing or altering credits, watermarks, captions, or metadata.
  • AI training, dataset creation, synthetic generation, or model training using FlickDirect® content.
  • Implying endorsement, affiliation, sponsorship, or approval without written permission.
  • Using third-party studio, Getty, publicity, or promotional assets from FlickDirect as if FlickDirect owns or sublicenses them.

How to request permission or report an issue

Email licensing@flickdirect.com with:

  1. Links to the specific FlickDirect pages or assets involved.
  2. Whether the request concerns original FlickDirect content or a third-party publicity asset.
  3. Intended use, such as editorial, commercial, OTT, broadcast, packaging, social, or archive use.
  4. Territories, platforms, and desired license term.
  5. Any requested credit correction, copyright notice update, or takedown concern.
